Mark Hughes says that QPR will be looking for maximum points against Reading, Stoke and Southampton.

Mark Hughes has said that Queens Park Rangers have opportunities to get maximum points in a run of games against teams around them in the Premier League table.

The Loftus Road side have faced Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea in their opening nine games this season.

However, their next games are against Reading, Stoke and Southampton.

The QPR boss told Sky Sports News: "Now we are up against teams that are in and around us so they take on more significance because we need to get maximum points.

"We know we've got opportunities in the games we have coming up to get more points on the board and that's our intention.

"Nobody needs to feel sorry for me. This is football. It's fine. You can do everything correctly and sometimes you can get a curve ball and the roof starts falling in. There is nothing you can do about it."

QPR have yet to record a win this season.
