Preview: Queens Park Rangers vs. Reading

Sports Mole looks ahead to this Sunday's Premier League meeting between Queens Park Rangers and Reading, with both sides in desperate need of points.

Queens Park Rangers and Reading go head to head this Sunday in an encounter which has been dubbed an early relegation battle.

There is only one point between the two sides, who sit in the bottom three of the Premier League table and questions have been raised over the future of QPR boss Mark Hughes, despite chairman Tony Fernandes's public backing of the former Fulham coach.

Meanwhile, Reading are currently two points away from safety after reaching promotion to the top flight by winning the Championship last season.

Hughes is likely to use the forward partnership of Junior Hoilett and Bobby Zamora, with Esteban Granero sitting in midfield, while Brian McDermott could enlist the services of Pavel Pogrebnyak and Jason Roberts as a front two on Sunday.

Recent form:

QPR: LLLDL

Reading: LDDLD

Possible lineups:

QPR: Cesar; Bosingwa, Ferdinand, Nelson, Traore; Wright-Philips, Granero, Diakite, Taarabt; Hoilett, Zamora

Reading: McCarthy; Cummings, Mariappa, Gorkss, Shorey; Kebe, McLeary, Leigertwood, McAnuff; Pogrebnyak, Roberts

Sports Mole says: 1-1
