Queens Park Rangers defender Ryan Nelsen insists that the players are responsible for getting the club out of their "horrible position" in the Premier League.

Queens Park Rangers defender Ryan Nelsen believes that he and his teammates have a lot of work to do to "dig" themselves out of the relegation zone.

The West London outfit are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table with just six points to their name.

"Do we need time to gel? Nobody was saying anything like that in August when the players were being signed," Nelsen told the club's official website.

"We, as players, have to take responsibility for where we are. It's as simple as that. It's a horrible position that we're in and we know it. We've got to dig ourselves out of it."

QPR travel to the DW Stadium at the weekend to take on Wigan Athletic.
