Queens Park Rangers boss Chris Ramsey sets points target

Chris Ramsey says that he is challenging Queens Park Rangers to take at least 15 points from their remaining Premier League games to avoid relegation.

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has stated that he is challenging his squad to take at least 15 points from their remaining Premier League games to secure survival.

The former academy coach, who has been placed in charge for the remainder of the season following Harry Redknapp's resignation, guided the Hoops to their first away victory of the season at Sunderland last week.

QPR face relegation rivals Hull City at the KC Stadium this Saturday, and Ramsey believes that he knows what is required to avoid the drop into the Championship.

"There is always the magical points [target] you try to get between 37 and 40. It is a cliché but you have got take each game as it comes and try to make sure whatever happens you try and get a result in every game," he told talkSPORT.

"The other teams have got their games to deal with and we don't really focus on what is around us. We just know if you get between 37 to 40 points, there is a good chance you will stay up. It is going to be very tough, but I think the players have got the bit between the teeth.

"We know Hull is going to be really difficult, they have got some very good players, but we will just prepare the best we can and go into it with the same attitude we did against Sunderland."

QPR sit 17th in the Premier League with 13 games left to play.
