Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Robert Green has revealed that he hopes to sign a new deal at the club.
The 33-year-old joined QPR last summer, but was swiftly followed by Julio Cesar who ended up being number one for much of the season.
"What happened last season was completely out of my control," Green told The Sun. "I did not envisage going to a new challenge and all of a sudden another chap with real pedigree comes along.
"You have to sit there and take it on the chin. I joined, they signed Cesar and then I was told I could go. The crazy world of football.
"First of all I want to get back playing again. My contract is up at the end of the season and hopefully I will earn a new one for QPR and be playing in the Premier League."
QPR take on Sheffield Wednesday in their opening game in the Championship today.
