Queens Park Rangers will pay defender Christopher Samba £100,000 a week if he joins the club on transfer deadline day, according to reports.
The Hoops have triggered the former Blackburn Rovers centre-back's £12.5m release clause in his contract with Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala, and the player is now on his way to Loftus Road to discuss terms with the Londoners.
QPR were reportedly interested in a move for Samba during the reign of Mark Hughes in the summer, but they were put off any potential deal by his wage demands.
However, current boss Harry Redknapp is expected to offer the 28-year-old a huge £100,000-a-week deal to join the Premier League side, significantly more than what the club refused to pay just six months ago, The Independent reports.
Anzhi chief Gus Hiddink confirmed on Wednesday that the Congolese international had left Russia to thrash out a deal with QPR.
