Rangers chairman Dave King hints at swift managerial change

New Rangers chairman Dave King suggests that he could replace Kenny McDowall as manager before the end of the season.

New Rangers chairman Dave King has hinted that he could make a managerial change before the end of the season.

Kenny McDowall is the current boss at Ibrox Stadium, though he is due to leave the club in the summer.

However, King has suggested that he may mix things up in the dugout before then in a bid to reignite the team's promotion chances.

The Gers are currently in third place in the Scottish Championship table, two points behind second-placed Hibernian and 22 points adrift of leaders Hearts.

"The playing side is in need of a huge injection of energy," he told Sky Sports News. "Rangers cannot go any lower. It will be a long road back, but the only way is up."

Rangers are back in action on Saturday when they host Livingston in the league.
