Scotland Under-21 midfielder Gregg Wylde says that he sacrificed his position at Rangers in order to save other people's jobs at the club.

Scotland Under-21s international Gregg Wylde has revealed that he lost sleep over the situation at Rangers.

The 20-year-old midfielder has reportedly left the stricken club without a redundancy package after requesting to depart Ibrox.

"I wanted to help out the club by keeping people in a job," Wylde told STV. "I was so tired I couldn't really sleep at night. It was getting to me so I thought I would leave."

It is believed that Mervan Celik, along with three other players, have also left the Scottish outfit as the club's administrators continue to try to solve the Gers' financial crisis.
