Rangers defender Carlos Bocanegra has admitted that he is still exploring his options and has not yet decided whether to stay with the stricken club.
It is still not certain what division Rangers will be playing in next season, and Bocanegra has said that he has yet to speak to manager Ally McCoist, but has refused to rule out a return to America.
"I've got to explore my options," Sky Sports News quotes Bocanegra as saying.
"I need to speak with the coach, as well. We kept missing each other. It wouldn't be fair to speak out of turn if I haven't spoken to him yet.
"I would never rule [a return to America] out. I like the league. I started here. I think it's a good league.
The former Fulham defender joined Rangers in 2011.
