Reading captain Jobi McAnuff has admitted that promotion to the Premier League is "a dream come true".
The Royals secured their place in the Premier League for next season with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest – a result which McAnuff put down to the club's character.
"Personally it's a dream come true, I've tried my whole career to get promoted and get into the Premier League and to finally do it is a great achievement," McAnuff told Sky Sports News.
"It was one of those games where we didn't really get going, we had to dig in and we found a way to win."
Reading sit three points clear of Southampton at the top of the Championship.
