Reading beat Millwall in five-goal thriller

Reading win a five-goal thriller against Millwall at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading threw away a 2-0 lead only to snatch a 3-2 victory over Millwall at the Madejski Stadium this evening.

Nigel Adkins's side got off to the perfect start when Simon Cox controlled Adam Federici's long goal kick and found the bottom corner from 25 yards after just six minutes.

Reading doubled their lead from the spot 10 minutes later as Nick Blackman was brought down in the box but picked himself up to send David Forde the wrong way with the penalty.

Ricardo Fuller gave Millwall a lifeline when he controlled Scott Malone's cross from the left and found the bottom right corner of the Reading goal six minutes before half time.

Within 10 minutes of the restart Millwall were level, as Mark Beevers met substitute Martyn Woolford's free kick with a smart header at the back post.

As both sides searched for a winner, Cox grabbed his second and Reading's third when he nodded home from a corner on 83 minutes to give his side the three points.
