Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham remains on the naughty step for Tuesday's Champions League last-16 first leg with Madrid derby rivals Atletico Madrid at the Bernabeu.
The former Birmingham City youngster was missing from the 2-1 La Liga loss to Real Betis on Saturday due to a domestic ban and is also suspended for this game on account of an accumulation of yellow cards.
Bellingham is one of five guaranteed absentees for the 15-time winners alongside Eder Militao (knee), Dani Carvajal (knee), Dani Ceballos (hamstring) and Jesus Vallejo (hamstring), but Carlo Ancelotti welcomed Federico Valverde back to full training on Monday following muscular discomfort.
The Uruguay international is a candidate to come into both midfield and defence such is his versatility, but Ancelotti should deploy him at right-back as Lucas Vazquez drops out of the starting lineup.
Valverde will no doubt link up with Thibaut Courtois, Antonio Rudiger and Ferland Mendy in defence, but David Alaba - who played just under an hour at the weekend - might be spared given his fitness woes as Raul Asencio returns to the XI.
Expect a fresh-legged Eduardo Camavinga to replace Luka Modric in the engine room too, while Aurelien Tchouameni and Bellingham's deputy Brahim Diaz are shoo-ins in the central positions.
Speaking of guaranteed starters, the feared front three of Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe will remain untouched, although Ancelotti admitted that the latter was not 100% at the weekend following a dental problem.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup:
Courtois; Valverde, Rudiger, Asencio, Mendy; Tchouameni, Camavinga; Rodrygo, Diaz, Vinicius; Mbappe
