Carlo Ancelotti defends James Rodriguez's price tag

Read Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti insists that summer signing from Monaco James Rodriguez is worth £63m.

Read Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that James Rodriguez was worth the £63m that Los Blancos paid for his services this summer.

Madrid signed Rodriguez from Monaco off the back of a brilliant World Cup for Colombia, but the player's price tag has been called into question.

Ancelotti, however, has said that "James is worth the money".

"James is worth the money. When you pay £63m, it's because you think a player is worth it," he told Cadena Cope.

James has scored three times for Madrid thus far this season.
