Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has said that he is honoured to have won two trophies at this evening's Welsh FA award ceremony.
Bale was named both the Welsh Player of the Year and the Fans' Player of the Year to cap off a remarkable season that saw him ultimately clinch a world-record transfer to Madrid this summer.
The 24-year-old will miss Wales's World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Belgium because of injury, but expressed his desire to return to action as soon as possible.
"It's a great honour to receive the Fans Player of the Year and Player of the Year @FAWales awards. Can't wait to get back playing again soon," Bale wrote on Twitter.
Bale was also named as the PFA Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year, as well as being awarded the FWA Footballer of the Year gong.
