Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says that Cristiano Ronaldo's agent and Jose Mourinho currently hold all the power at the club.

Ramon Calderon has launched a scathing attack on the Real Madrid hierarchy, claiming that Florentino Perez has lost control of the club.

The 61-year-old, who was president between 2006 and 2009, has blasted the way the club is currently being run - claiming that Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, and manager Jose Mourinho have assumed control.

He described some of Mourinho's antics during his stint at the Bernabeu as "regrettable", while also stating that Ronaldo should be allowed to leave.

"You cannot dispute talent - but if a player is not happy, he must leave," he told Eurosport. "It happened to me with Robinho. It was a very drastic situation.

"Jorge Mendes is now the president of the club without having been chosen by the members. Decisions have been taken, and some players have arrived because he is their agent. The club has been left in his hands and in Mourinho's, and the president will know why that has been done.

"Mourinho is a great coach and motivator, but sometimes he behaves in a way that must be regretted afterwards. It is something which must be sorted out with the coach himself, although doing that seems difficult to me."

Calderon brokered the deal to bring Ronaldo to Madrid in 2009.
