Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has paid tribute to the late Alfredo Di Stefano.
The Madrid legend, who scored 307 goals in 396 appearances for the capital outfit, passed away on Monday aged 88 after failing to recover from a heart attack, which he suffered at the weekend.
Casillas, however, has insisted that Di Stefano will always live on at Madrid.
"Don Alfredo's figure will always embody Real Madrid. Di Stefano's name is synonymous with Real Madrid. We'll always be grateful for what he did and we will keep preaching his message," Casillas said this morning from the Bernabeu's presidential box.
Alongside Ferenc Puskas, Di Stefano formed arguably the greatest striking partnership in the history of the game.
