Toni Kroos: 'League most important'

German midfielder Toni Kroos insists that winning La Liga is Real Madrid's "priority" this season.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has insisted that winning La Liga is the club's main priority this season.

Los Blancos picked up their 10th European Cup last season and are once again among the favourites to retain the Champions League this term.

However, Kroos has said that "winning the league title must be a priority" for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

"We all want [to win back-to-back CLs], but first we must try to remain top of La Liga. Winning the League title must be a priority for us," he told UEFA.com.

"In the Champions League, five or six teams can win it and we're among them. We'll try to win it, but it'll be very difficult because in the knockouts, it depends on how you are that day."

Real Madrid currently top La Liga by one point.
