Blaise Matuidi has admitted that "it would be great" to see Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo join him at Juventus next season.
The Portugal international is said to have been made available to purchase by Los Blancos for an affordable fee of £88m after recently hinting that he wants to leave the club.
Matuidi, who is part of the France side that will take on Uruguay in the World Cup quarter-finals on Friday, is hopeful of linking up with Ronaldo at the Allianz Stadium when he returns to club duty.
"I'm not going to lie it would be just great," he told reporters at Wednesday's press conference. "It would be great to have one of the best players in the world with Juventus in the same club that I am.
"It would be great for the club and for the Juventus players. However, today I'm a player of the French national team and we have bigger fish to fry, no?"
Former club Manchester United are also said to be interested in signing Ronaldo, whose wages could surpass the £500,000-a-week mark.
