Zinedine Zidane: 'I've already signed new Real Madrid deal'

Zinedine Zidane claims that agreeing fresh terms with Real Madrid to remain at the Bernabeu beyond the end of the season "is already done".

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he has already signed a new contract at the Bernabeu, but concedes that the situation remains "complicated".

The 45-year-old has won seven major honours during his 20 months at the helm, including back-to-back Champions League crowns and the La Liga title last season.

Zidane was due to see his existing deal expire at the end of the campaign, but the Frenchman- previously in charge of the reserve team - says that he has gone the same way as players Isco, Dani Carvajal and Marcelo in committing to Los Blancos for the long term.

"In terms of the renewal, it's already done, but it doesn't mean anything," he told reporters. "I care about the day-to-day and I'm not looking further than that, this is complicated."

Madrid are expected to officially announce new deals for both Zidane and striker Karim Benzema later this week.
