Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho says that Ricardo Carvalho will face the season sitting on the sidelines if he does not find a new club this week.

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has announced that defender Ricardo Carvalho must find a new club or risk sitting on the bench for the rest of the season.

The 34-year-old, who previously played under Mourinho at Chelsea, has been touted as a possible departure from the Bernabeu this summer.

Recent reports have claimed that Queens Park Rangers are keen on the services of the defender, with some suggesting that a loan move had been agreed between the two parties.

Meanwhile, the former Championship side are thought to be closing in on the capture of Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who has arrived at Loftus Road for talks today.
