Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes reveals that he could move for new targets after deals for two defenders stalled.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Queens Park Rangers are discussing new targets after a move for Michael Dawson stalled.

The West London club had a bid accepted for the Tottenham Hotspur defender last week but have yet to reach an agreement with the player over personal terms.

Ricardo Carvalho's rumoured loan move to Loftus Road from Real Madrid has also yet to be completed and Hughes admitted that he may look elsewhere for a new defender.

"We will have a look at other options," Hughes said.

"There might be something which makes sense from our point of view, from a playing situation and a financial one, so we will have to wait and see."

QPR picked up their first point of the new Premier League season on Saturday, claiming a draw against Norwich City.
