Real Madrid are unlikely to allow Martin Odegaard out on loan this season, according to reports.
Rumours had suggested that Madrid were willing to let the 16-year-old join another top-flight club but according to Spanish newspaper Marca, the club are worried that he will not be guaranteed first-team football.
Madrid bought the Norwegian international from Stromsgodset back in January and he made his first-team debut as a substitute in the final game of the season.
Talking about his future, Odegaard told reporters: "We'll look at it when the pre-season is over. I'm happy at Real Madrid.
"Segunda B is a difficult division because there are lots of tough opponents and the pitches are often very bad."
Odegaard spent the second half of last season in the third tier with Real Madrid Castilla, under the guidance of manager Zinedine Zidane.
