President Florentino Perez is willing to offer Cristiano Ronaldo more money to stay at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed that he would like Cristiano Ronaldo to remain with the club beyond the summer.

Recent reports have linked the Portuguese international with a return to Manchester United, while French outfit Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be interested in his securing his signature.

However, Perez is keen for the world's most expensive player to stay at the Bernabeu and is willing to offer him a greater financial package to do so.

"He told me in the summer he was sad and I told him we would do everything possible for him to be content," Perez told Cadena Ser.

"I don't know if he has an offer from PSG. I think Cristiano is the best player in the world. We want to build the Madrid of the future around him and I would like Cristiano to be the best paid player in the world."

Ronaldo joined Los Blancos in 2009 from United for £80m.
