Real Madrid have reportedly agreed a 'pact' with Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz ahead of a transfer in 2025.
Since making his debut for the BayArena club in January 2020, the 21-year-old has blossomed into one of the most highly-rated young midfielders in European football, attracting plenty of interest.
This season was a special one for everyone associated with Leverkusen, as the club won their first-ever Bundesliga title under the expert tutelage of former Real player Xabi Alonso.
As well as collectively, Wirtz enjoyed a stellar individual campaign across German domestic football and in the Europa League, netting 18 goals and providing 19 assists in 49 competitive appearances.
All in all, the Germany international has featured in 152 matches across all competitions for Leverkusen, scoring on 41 occasions and helping his side to two major honours.

Real Madrid reach agreement with Leverkusen star Wirtz?
According to Spanish outlet Marca, 15-time European champions Real Madrid have taken a significant step towards securing the services of Bayer Leverkusen's Wirtz in the near future.
The report claims that Los Blancos and the 21-year-old have agreed to a 'pact', stating that the midfielder will join the Spanish giants during the summer of 2025.
It is stated that Wirtz has already committed his future to Real, with the German set to have a final campaign at the BayArena before transferring to Madrid.
Supposedly valued at €130m (£109.7m), a deal for Wirtz would not be cheap for Los Blancos, who are no strangers to high-profile signings in recent times.
In a recent interview, Leverkusen chief executive Fernando Carro claimed that only a mammoth offer of €150m (£126.6m) would tempt his side into a sale.

Beginning the new era of Galaticos
With links between Real Madrid and Wirtz becoming more concrete as time passes, there have been joking comments from fans that Los Blancos' recent transfer activity is 'unfair' on the rest of football.
Carlo Ancelotti's troops - fresh off the back of their 15th continental crown - will welcome Kylian Mbappe and Endrick to their ranks for the beginning of the 2024-25 term.
The thought of Wirtz joining the party in 2025 is a tantalising prospect for those supporters who will pack out the Bernabeu for the seasons to come.
Before any switch to Madrid, the German star will be hoping to help his country to European glory on the international stage at Euro 2024 this summer.
