Report: Carlo Ancelotti wants Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez at Bayern Munich

Incoming Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly informs his new board that he wants to sign Real Madrid pair Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly desperate to bring Real Madrid duo Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich this summer.

Ancelotti was relieved of his duties at the Bernabeu last summer after losing out to Barcelona in both La Liga and the Champions League, despite securing Los Blancos their 10th European Cup the season before.

The Italian will take charge of Bayern at the end of this season, however, and according to Sport, he has informed the board that he wants to sign both Benzema and James from the Spanish giants.

Any deal for Benzema is expected to hinge on the future of Robert Lewandowski, who himself has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.

James, meanwhile, has faced criticism for his drop in form this season and is expected to drop out of the Real Madrid XI once again when Gareth Bale returns to fitness.
