Roma forward Francesco Totti has remained coy on whether he would like to play for Italy at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
Azzurri coach Cesare Prandelli praised the 36-year-old for his impressive form this season and said that he could consider including him in his squad for the World Cup if they qualify.
"Compliments are always nice to receive and at this time I'm really getting a lot from coaches, colleagues and many people who live and work in football," Totti wrote on his official website.
"I want to thank everyone and coach Prandelli too because his words are certainly an incentive to do well. Of course, as it should be, I now live 90 minutes at a time, game after game, I focus on the present and right now I'm thinking about the challenge of Palermo.
"I can't wait to again take to the field with my teammates to continue this positive streak of results. I feel full of enthusiasm."
Totti has scored nine goals in 58 matches for Italy.
