Rudi Garcia rules out Mattia Destro exit

Roma boss Rudi Garcia rules out the possibility of striker Mattia Destro leaving the club this January.

Roma head coach Rudi Garcia has ruled out the possibility of letting striker Mattia Destro leave the club in the January transfer window.

Destro is rumoured to want to leave the club on loan and has previously hinted at departing due to a lack of starts.

However, Garcia denies the possibility and insists that the striker is important for the club.

"Mattia Destro is vital, he'll score goals for us," the 50-year-old said, according to Goal.com.

"I'm counting on him for the second half of the season. My squad has been specially constructed to deal with all the commitments we have during the season."

The Italian has made 18 appearances for the Giallorossi this season, starting just eight of those matches, and has scored four goals for the club.
