Rotherham United sign Scott Loach

Rotherham United seal their third signing of the summer in the form of ex-Ipswich Town goalkeeper Scott Loach.

Rotherham United have sealed their third signing of the summer in the form of ex-Ipswich Town goalkeeper Scott Loach.

The 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the newly-promoted Championship outfit after being released from his Ipswich contract a year before its expiration date.

The England Under-21 international has previously played under the likes of Malky Mackay and Brendan Rodgers, and Millers boss Steve Evans is enthused by his latest capture.

"Scott has made over 150 starts for Watford in the Championship so he has great experience at this level," he told Rotherham's official website.

"He has played under the likes of the excellent Malky Mackay and Brendan Rodgers and they are two individuals who know a player when they see one.

"He has just turned 26 so he is at a good age. He has previously been called up to the England senior squad and has been capped repeatedly at Under-21 level."

Evans, who has led Rotherham from League Two into the Championship with back-to-back promotions, has also snapped up Conor Newton and Matt Derbyshire this summer.
