Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola will reportedly sign a preliminary agreement with the Russia national team to become their new manager.
The 41-year-old has been out of work since calling time on his four-year tenure with the Spanish giants and was initially widely linked to the vacant managerial spot at Chelsea before the Champions League winners signed up Roberto Di Matteo on a two-year contract.
Reports in Russian newspaper Sport-Express claim that Guardiola will arrive in Moscow today to take the first steps towards succeeding Dick Advocaat.
The Spaniard insisted after he left the Nou Camp that he would take a year's sabbatical before deciding on his next move.
