Team News: Tranquillo Barnetta given start for Schalke 04 against Stuttgart

Tranquillo Barnetta starts as Schalke 04 make one change for the Bundesliga clash with Stuttgart.

Roberto Di Matteo has handed a rare start to Tranquillo Barnetta for Schalke 04's meeting with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

The Swiss winger came off the bench last weekend to score in a 4-1 victory over Mainz 05, and he comes into the starting lineup to replace Marco Hoger.

Barnetta is likely to be joined by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in providing support for in-form striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who leads the line for the visitors.

Huub Stevens has named an attacking side for the visit of Schalke, with Timo Werner and Martin Harnik continuing their partnership in attack.

Stuttgart: Ulreich, Klein, Baumgartl, Rudiger, Hlousek, Gruezo, Leitner, Sararer, Gentner, Werner, Harnik

Schalke: Fahrmann, Uchida, Kirchhoff, Höwedes, Fuchs, Neustädter, Aogo, Barnetta, Meyer, Choupo-Moting, Huntelaar
