Sheffield Wednesday continued their preparations for the season ahead with a comprehensive 3-1 win away to League Two side Bury.
The Owls got off to the ideal start when Jacques Maghoma latched on to a neat through pass from Caolan Lavery and guided the ball past Schwan Jalal with just three minutes played.
Wednesday controlled the match, but Bury were level against the run of play five minutes before half time, James McNulty lining up Daniel Nardiello, who made no mistake from close range.
The Championship side made their dominance count in the second half, with Atdhe Nuhiu rising highest in the box just before the hour mark to head his side in front.
The scoreline flattered Bury, but Giles Coke did his bit to make it a fairer reflection when he added a third with 10 minutes left to play.
