Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino on Monaco's radar?

Mauricio Pochettino could leave Southampton and take charge of Monaco in the summer, according to a report.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino could become the Monaco boss next season, according to a report.

The Mirror claims that the 42-year-old is interested in taking charge of the Ligue 1 outfit, as his relationship with the Saints has been damaged.

Pochettino, who is said to be unhappy with the departure of Nicola Cortese as chairman of Southampton in January, reportedly finds the prospect of managing Monaco appealing.

The French side are currently managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, but club owner Dmitry Rybolovlev is reported to be looking for someone with a record of winning trophies to be in charge of the team next season.

Pochettino is said to be one of the candidates in the mind of Rybolovlev, who bought Monaco in 2011.
