Southampton to move for Ola John?

Benfica's Ola John could be poised for a move to Southampton, according to reports.

Dutch international Ola John could be the subject of a summer offer from Southampton, according to reports.

The 22-year-old Benfica forward moved to Portugal in 2012, where he has only scored three goals in 44 games.

John has already been watched by Southampton scouts and could be available for around £6m, reports The Mirror.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at German side Hamburger SV, where he made eight appearances.

He has represented the Netherlands at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, and made his debut for the senior side in 2013.
