Jermain Defoe admits that Tottenham Hotspur will face stiff competition from other teams for the fourth spot in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has said that he is confident that his side will finish in the top four in the Premier League this season.

Spurs defeated Swansea City 1-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday to move to fourth in the league table with 29 points from 17 matches.

"It's going to be difficult with the other teams around us because its a strong league," Defoe told reporters.

"But it's important to look at ourselves and just keep winning games, that's all we can do. We'll see what happens."

Everton are two points behind Tottenham in fifth place.
