Ledley King: 'Tottenham Hotspur can win Premier League'

Ledley King says that Tottenham Hotspur are capable of winning the Premier League title within the next two years.

Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King has no doubts that his old club can win the Premier League title within the next two years.

The 32-year-old, who was forced to retire due to injury last season, is impressed with the current crop of players at White Hart Lane who sit fourth in the table and are through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

King, who is now an ambassador for the club, believes that Spurs can continue to grow under manager Andre Villas-Boas.

"I rate the current Spurs team very highly," King told BBC Sport. "I think we've got a young and ambitious manager who's great and is going to do well for the club.

"I think we've got a great group of players at a good age where they're improving all the time and reaching their peak.

"The way the team are progressing at the minute, hopefully in the next year or two they will be really challenging for the Premier League."

Spurs, who are 20 points behind league leaders Manchester United, travel to Swansea City on March 30.
