Jurgen Klinsmann's publicist refutes any suggestion that his client would consider the vacant manager's job at White Hart Lane.

Jurgen Klinsmann has been ruled out of contention for the vacant manager's job at Tottenham Hotspur by his publicist.

Klinsmann, who spent two spells at White Hart Lane as a player in the 1990s, is currently in charge of the USA national team.

On his client becoming Harry Redknapp's replacement, publicist Roland Eitel told the Daily Mail: "It just isn't a realistic proposition for Jurgen at the moment.

"He has very fond memories of his time at White Hart Lane and needs no reminding that it is a big job. He has the utmost respect for Tottenham. But the timing isn't right.

"He has no thoughts of leaving the post he has at the moment and is totally committed to leading the United States into the next World Cup."

Klinsmann scored 30 goals in 56 Premier League games for Spurs.
