Jay Rodriguez: 'Players unsure of Mauricio Pochettino future'

Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez admits that the players are unsure of manager Mauricio Pochettino's future at the club.

Jay Rodriguez has admitted that Southampton's players do not know whether Mauricio Pochettino will still be at the club next season.

The Argentine manager has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur following Tim Sherwood's dismissal at the end of the season.

The striker, who is currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear, told talkSPORT: "It's up in the air and we're not too sure at the moment. I'm just trying to focus on my rehab because that's all I really can do, and I don't want to get sidetracked by anything else.

"He is unbelievable. I think anyone will say what a great manager he is and what a good guy he is, to see how well he's done with the type of football we're playing.

"I think he's worked us hard and we've seen the benefits from it so I think he's a great manager and I love playing under him."

David Moyes, Rafael Benitez and Frank de Boer have also been linked to the vacancy.
