Tim Sherwood: 'Emmanuel Adebayor sensational'

Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood says that striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been "sensational" since his return to the team.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has said that striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been "sensational" since his return to the team.

The Togolese endured a difficult time under previous boss Andre-Villas Boas but has scored five goals since Sherwood took over in December.

Sherwood told Sky Sports News: "Everyone's talked about Ade but it was an obvious thing to do [to return him to the team] and I would have thought anyone would do the same.

"It was the easiest trick. He certainly didn't need motivating.

"He's been sensational since I've taken over and all the boys have really appreciated his efforts."

Spurs take on Everton at 1.30pm on Sunday.
