Andre Villas-Boas: 'Draw was a fair result'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas concedes that his side's 1-1 draw with Norwich City was a fair reflection of the game.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that the 1-1 scoreline in his side's Premier League clash with Norwich City was a fair reflection of the game.

The Spurs boss was complimentary of his team's first-half performance, singling out goalscorer Gareth Bale and debutante Lewis Holtby for praise.

"In the second half we really put on a show and put on a good performance. Pity, our first half cost us two points and we wanted to profit from the Arsenal v Liverpool game, but we did not have enough time to get a winner," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"The draw was a fair result. Gareth Bale had such pace and power. There was a tackle that could have broken his leg, but never mind.

"Lewis Holtby made a difference, it is a major coup for us and he gave us something in between the lines to connect our team."

Bale's second-half strike cancelled out Wes Hoolahan's opener, but the result leaves Spurs just one point ahead of Everton in fourth place in the Premier League.
