Andre Villas-Boas has refused to rule out the possibility of Lewis Holtby featuring for Tottenham Hotspur against Norwich City tomorrow night.
The midfielder only arrived at White Hart Lane yesterday afternoon after Spurs agreed a fee with Schalke 04 to bring forward his transfer, which had originally been set for the summer.
Despite having been in the country for just 24 hours, Villas-Boas has admitted that Holtby is under consideration to be selected for the trip to Carrow Road.
"We rate the player very highly and we managed to get him at a good price," Villas-Boas told reporters. "It was always a question how much Schalke wanted for the player. There was a willingness to come early. We had a chance to bring him and we have added him to the squad.
"He is an extremely talented midfield player, used to playing in different positions and is an excellent addition. He has only had one training session, so we will decide wisely if it's appropriate for him to play."
Holtby made 26 appearances this season for Schalke up until his departure, scoring four goals.
