Team News: Joe Hart dropped by Manchester City

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is relegated to the substitutes' bench for his side's Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City second-choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero has been preferred to Joe Hart for his side's Premier League fixture at Tottenham Hotspur.

Caballero came in for Hart against Sunderland in midweek, and the Argentine stopper has done enough to keep the England international out of the team.

Captain Vincent Kompany is also on the bench, despite recovering from the injury that kept him out against West Ham United last weekend, with Martin Demichelis partnering Nicolas Otamendi.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has made just one alteration to the team that beat Crystal Palace, with Christian Eriksen coming in for Nacer Chadli.

Defenders Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld have both been recalled after sitting out the League Cup defeat to Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Alli, Dier; Eriksen, Son, Lamela; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Rose, Trippier, Carroll, Chadli, Townsend, Clinton

Manchester City: Caballero; Sagna, Demichelis, Otamendi, Kolarov; Fernando, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Sterling, Toure; Aguero
Subs: Hart, Kompany, Zabaleta, Nasri, Navas, Roberts, Barker
