Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has rejected claims that the club have agreed a deal to sell Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
Reports broke late on Wednesday night that the North London outfit had agreed a world record deal with the La Liga giants for the Welshman.
However, Villas-Boas has shot down these claims and insists that he wants to keep Bale at White Hart Lane.
"That is not true," said Villas-Boas ahead of the Europa League playoff against Dinamo Tbilisi.
"Ideally we want to keep everyone to make us stronger - that is the ultimate objective of the club.
"In the end, anything can happen. We are dragging ourselves into the last weeks of transfer activity and it can become very, very frantic."
Bale will miss the first leg of Spurs' Europa League playoff on Thursday officially because of a foot injury.
