Pep Guardiola 'wants Harry Kane at Manchester City'

Pep Guardiola reportedly informs Manchester City officials that he would like to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.

Pep Guardiola has reportedly informed Manchester City officials that he wants to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.

On Saturday evening, the England international played an instrumental part as his side recorded a 2-0 victory over City in the Premier League.

However, according to The Independent, Guardiola was an admirer of the 27-year-old before his performance at the weekend.

During negotiations regarding his recently-penned contract, the Spaniard is said to have called for an approach to be made for the Spurs frontman.

While Kane still has over three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, failure to win a trophy with Spurs this season could potentially lead to a change of heart regarding his future.

Spurs will demand well in excess of £100m if City or any other club show an interest in their star man.
