Giovani Lo Celso is putting pressure on Real Betis to sell him to Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.
The Lilywhites are rumoured to have already had an offer of £62m turned down for the 23-year-old, who scored 14 times in La Liga and the Europa League last season from an attacking midfield position.
According to The Mirror, Betis originally told Spurs that they would need to hand over £80m to trigger Lo Celso's release clause.
However, it is claimed that the Argentinian's representatives have reached an agreement with the La Liga side that will see them consider any further bids of around £70m.
To complicate matters, Betis must pay Paris Saint-Germain a sell-on fee as they only signed the Rosario Central youth product on a permanent basis in April following his successful season on loan.
