Kyle Naughton valuation 'too high for Swansea City'

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy reportedly slaps a £5m price tag on right-back Kyle Naughton, a valuation which may deter Swansea from making a January move.

Swansea City are believed to have been deterred in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Naughton by his £5m price tag.

The right-back is apparently free to leave White Hart Lane in the January transfer window as Spurs have an abundance of options in his position.

Naughton has not played in the Premier League since November, with Kyle Walker having returned from a long-term injury to regain his place, and the imminent arrival of DeAndre Yedlin from the Seattle Sounders will push him further down the pecking order.

Garry Monk is thought to be keen on bringing the 26-year-old to the Liberty Stadium as a long-term replacement for ageing stalwart Angel Rangel, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is demanding £5m, according to The Mirror.

This fee may also put off the likes of Queens Park Rangers and Leicester City, both of whom have been touted with an interest in a player who has made 74 appearances since joining Tottenham from Sheffield United in 2009.
