Report: Tottenham Hotspur close to finalising Federico Fazio deal

Federico Fazio is reportedly close to completing his move to Tottenham Hotspur after agreeing a five-year deal at the club.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to completing the signing of Sevilla defender Federico Fazio.

The Spanish club yesterday confirmed that Spurs have paid the £8m release clause in the 27-year-old's contract, and a five-year deal has now been agreed, according to Goal.com.

Fazio, who has been capped twice for Argentina, captained Sevilla on their run to the Europa League trophy last season.

Michael Dawson finalised his move to Hull City yesterday evening to make room for the centre-back.
