Tottenham Hotspur target Leandro Damiao reveals that he would favour a move to Serie A over the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur target Leandro Damiao has revealed that Italy will be his preferred destination when he decides to leave Internacional.

The Brazilian international was the subject of an offer from the north London club earlier this year.

While the 22-year-old is in no rush to escape his homeland, he has admitted that he is tempted by an eventual move to Serie A.

He told Corriere dello Sport: "Serie A is a league I really like.

"I'd like to play in Italy because my two favourite strikers are there, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani."

Despite stating that he would favour a move to Italy, Damiao has refused to rule out a move to the Premier League.

He added: "I think I might also do well in England or Spain."

Spurs are keen to reinforce their attacking options in the summer, as Emmanuel Adebayor will return to Manchester City and Louis Saha's short-term contract is due to expire.
