Tottenham Hotspur have targeted a move for Atalanta BC's Danish wing-back Joakim Maehle in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report.
The 24-year-old played a huge part in Denmark's run to the semi-finals of Euro 2020, for whom he has scored nine goals in just 25 appearances.
Maehle has not been so prolific for his club so far this season however, scoring once and assisting one further goal in 25 league appearances for the Serie A side, although just 15 of these games have been starts.
Despite struggling to feature regularly in Italy during the 2021-22 campaign, the Daily Mail are reporting that Antonio Conte is interested in bringing the wing-back to the Premier League this summer.
The report suggests that Tottenham's director of football Fabio Paratici could well look to raid Italy once again in the transfer window, having brought Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski to the the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in January.
Conte has rotated players in his wing-back roles on a regular basis this season, with neither Sergio Reguilon nor Ryan Sessegnon managing to feature consistently on the left-hand side, as the Italian boss looks ahead to a significant overhaul of his squad in the summer.
