Peter Odemwingie ready to return to full training

Stoke City striker Peter Odemwingie will return to full training on Thursday for the first time since injuring his knee in August.

Peter Odemwingie has been given the all-clear to return to full training with his Stoke City teammates on Thursday.

The Nigerian forward has not played since damaging knee ligaments in August, and it was initially feared that he would play no further part in the campaign after being forced to undergo surgery.

However, the 33-year-old stepped up his recovery in recent weeks and he used Twitter to give supporters an update on his current condition.

Stoke, who currently sit 10th, host Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
