Sports Mole provides live text coverage of today's Premier League clash between Stoke City and Fulham at the Britannia Stadium.

Fulham travelled to the Britannia Stadium earlier today to take on Stoke City in the Premier League.

The Potters were unbeaten in their previous 12 home league games, with their last defeat on Staffordshire soil coming in February.

Meanwhile, the Cottagers, who held Arsenal to a 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago, had not lost on the road in four matches.

That concludes Sport Mole's live text coverage from Stoke for today.

Stoke were well worthy of those three points, which take them up three places in the Premier League table to 11th.

Full time: Stoke City 1-0 Fulham

Riether takes the free-kick short. Stoke win the ball back and immediately hack clear.

Fulham have a free-kick near the right corner flag, after Cameron is penalised for handball.

The fourth official indicates that a minimum of four added minutes will be played.

Stoke goal disallowed! Kightly pokes the ball through to Jones, who slides home left-footed from eight yards. However, the flag is rightly raised, as the Trinidad and Tobago forward was a yard offside.

Fulham don't seem to have any idea of how to break Stoke down. The Cottagers are desperately pumping long balls into the area. Stoke, as expected, are having no problems heading clear.

Final substitution by Stoke. Dean Whitehead replaces Adam, who receives a standing ovation.

Substitution for Fulham. Rodallega comes on for Sidwell.

Duff takes the corner himself. Begovic parries the ball away and Shotton completes the clearance.

Duff wins a corner for Fulham on right.

Substitution for Stoke. Crouch is replaced by Kenwyne Jones. The Fulham defenders will be very pleased to see the back of Crouch, who has been impeccable in the air all game.

Chance for Stoke! The Potters hit Fulham on the counter attack. Kightly gets away from Senderos, but balloons hit shot high and wide from 12 yards.

Chance for Fulham! Berbatov cuts in from the right and curls a left-foot shot towards the top corner. Begovic parries the ball away and Stoke clear.

Fulham make their first substitution - Karagounis is replaced by Duff.

Kightly is straight into the action. The winger fires a low ball across goal, which is cleared away as far as Adam, who shoots wide from 18 yards.

Stoke make the first substitution of the match. Etherington is replaced by Michael Kightly.

Chance for Stoke! Another good delivery from the right by Etherington. This time he finds Shawcross, who heads just wide.

Chance for Stoke! Etherington's inswinger is met powerfully by the head of Huth, but the defender's effort is tipped over the bar by Schwarzer.

Stoke continue to pile forward and win their sixth corner of the match.

Fulham clear.

Stoke win a corner, which Whelan whips in to the far post. Schwarzer comes but can't collect and the ball is cleared behind for another corner.

Stoke go close! Adam unleashes a fierce left-footed drive from 25 yards. His effort takes a huge deflection and fizzes wide with Schwarzer wrong-footed.

Riether's delivery is poor and Begovic gathers.

Yellow card for Cameron for a foolish challenge on Dejagah. Free kick to Fulham on the right touchline, in line with the edge of the penalty area.

Let-off for Fulham! Unchallenged, Schwarzer catches a high ball but then drops it. Adam is quick on the scene, however luckily for the Australian keeper the ball sticks between his feet and he is able to regain control.

Karagounis tries his luck from 30 yards and the ball flies into row Z.

Stoke go close! Schwarzer's punch from Cameron's cross is tame and the ball falls to Walters, who tees up Whelan on the edge of the area. Whelan's finessed shot is just too high.

Stoke get the second half underway.

Despite Sidwell's injury and Senderos's poor showing in the first half, neither manager has made any changes at the break. The second half is moments away.

Fulham have had slightly more possession, with 51 percent.

Both sides have committed seven fouls each and Stoke have edged the corner count 3-1.

Stoke have registered eight shots in the first half, while Fulham have recorded three. Adam's goal has been the only shot on target so far.

Stoke fully deserve their lead at the break. Meanwhile, Fulham will be relieved that their deficit is just one goal, because Shawcross and Huth could easily have added to Adam's 26th-minute strike.

Half time: Stoke City 1-0 Fulham

There will be a minimum of three added minutes at the end of the first half.

AGRO! Huth makes a high clearance and, with his follow-through, catches Berbatov's upper back with his studs. The Fulham skipper takes offence and there is a little pushing and shoving. Meanwhile, Senderos is on the sidelines having Vaseline applied to his eyebrow, after colliding with Adam's elbow. Both incidents looked accidental to me and the referee seems to agree. No Bookings.

Chance for Fulham! The visitors launch a quick counter-attack, which ends with Berbatov finding Petric at the near post and the Croatian firing just wide.

Stoke hit the crossbar! Shawcross beats Schwarzer to Etherington's inswinging corner, but the England international's header cracks back off the underside of the crossbar and is cleared to safety.

Corner to Stoke.

Stoke go close! Whelan fires just wide from 20 yards.

Sidwell is back on the field, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him replaced at half time.

The game is currently paused as Sidwell receives treatment. It looks like the Fulham midfielder jarred his knee in a collision with Shawcross.

Stoke deserve their lead. The Potters started slowly, but they are now well on top and Fulham look rattled.

Nzonzi finds Shotton on the overlap and the full-back swings in a high cross to the far post, where Crouch easily beats Senderos in the air and nods into the path of Adam. The Scottish international has time to turn in the six-yard box, before firing a left-foot volley low beyond Schwarzer.

Goal for Stoke City - Charlie Adam - Stoke City 1-0 Fulham

Whelan's whipped delivery creates panic in the Fulham penalty area, before the ball rebounds out of play for a goal kick.

Senderos collects the game's first yellow card for clumsily barging Etherington to the ground. Stoke have a free-kick in a dangerous position - 25 yards out, just left of centre.

Glorious chance for Stoke! Etherington's set piece from the left finds they head of Huth, who heads just wide from six yards.

Another corner for Stoke - again as a result of a Baird header.

Whelan's corner is good, but Shawcross can't do enough with his header and the ball is cleared. It falls to Whelan again, however the Irishman's second delivery is poor and Fulham clear.

Stoke win their first corner of the game, as Baird heads Whelan's cross behind.

Fulham have made the brighter start. Sensing this, the home fans raise the noise level in an attempt to spark an improvement from their side.

Let-off for Stoke! Cameron's back-pass to Begovic is short and Dejagah threatens to get there before the keeper. Begovic and Huth then collide with each other, but Shawcross does well to tidy up and clear the danger.

Fulham go close! Berbatov, who is captaining his side today, finds Karagounis 30 yards out and the Greek fires just wide from long range.

Dejagah's corner is headed clear by Huth.

Dejagah chases down a long ball over the top, piling pressure on Shawcross, who bundles the ball behind for a corner to Fulham.

Fulham, who will be attacking the Boothen End in the first half, kick off. It appears as though Shotton is going to play at right-back for Stoke, with Cameron on the left.

Today's referee is Michael Oliver.

The players are on the pitch and Stoke fans seem right up for this one! Kickoff is six minutes away.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has made three changes to his starting XI following last weekend's 3-1 defeat at home to Sunderland. Senderos, Dejagah and Baird come in for Alex Kacaniklic, Damien Duff and Brede Hangeland.

Michael Owen, who will be appearing on Match of the Day tonight as a pundit, remains sidelined.

The hosts have made one change from Monday's 1-1 draw at West Ham United - Shotton makes his first league start of the season, replacing Andy Wilkinson, who has a back injury, at left-back.

Including today's match, the Potters have two homes games in five days - with the visit Newcastle United coming up on Wednesday. Topscorer Peter Crouch has challenged his teammates to claim maximum points from both fixtures in order to kickstart their season. Click here to read the full story.

Staffordshire is very gloomy today and the sun is nowhere to be seen. However, the pitch looks glorious under floodlights and the Britannia Stadium will be very close to capacity come kickoff.
